What?
- When writing an essay, especially a draft, there may be parts where you’d like to add some references (links) like this. There may also be parts you don’t immediately know how to write, but you can still continue writing if you skip them first.
- In these cases,
Add a note as a reminder, and continue writing.
Why?
- The point of a draft is to get your ideas out. What comes next is the editing process which allows you to improve on what you wrote and fill the holes.
- If you stop writing halfway to look for the sources or information, you may forget the ideas that you had for the latter parts.
- What’s worse? You may fall into the rabbit hole of information, then burn out and stop writing altogether. That sucks.
