1️⃣ Start with why
What do you want to do in Notion?
- Task management? Book tracker? Second brain?
- Knowing what you want gives you a place to start, which is helpful when there are so many information to learn!
2️⃣ Choose your method
Imagine you’re learning how to play a game. Generally, there are 3 ways:
- Try things out → fill the holes in your knowledge as you go
- Follow a course → apply what you learn
- Both of the above
3️⃣ Learn the basics
4️⃣ Build your own
Check if there’s already a template.
- If what you want is available, get and adapt it to your needs.
- If not, try building it yourself.
- As you try things out, you’ll notice what you don’t know.
- When you fill the holes in your knowledge, you appreciate and remember them better. #meta
